    TALLAGHT’S FINEST FRANCIS Bilardi was on the line for St Maelruans on Saturday when they faced Lourdes Celtic. Unfortunately for Francis, he got no minutes on the day, but his encouragement to his teammates from the line proves he is an asset to the club. Well done Francis.

    The UCFL received the sad news today that our President David Blood has passed away. David also served as President of the FAI and LFA. Our thoughts and prayers are with our current chairman, and David’s brother Barney and family at this difficult time.

    THE FAMOUS FRANCIS I POPPED up to Stanaway Park yesterday to cover two UCFL games and who was on the line at 11am, three hours before his own game, Francis Billardi. He had come down to watch Lourdes 1st team play before St Maelruans took on Lourdes 2nds in the Sidney Bedlow Cup.

    EVERY club needs a good committee member, someone they can depend on & in Joe Maughan, Sacred Heart have one. After the snow that fell last Thursday, Joe was out on Friday afternoon getting the pitch ready for two UCFL games on Saturday with six inches being removed.
