#StormJorge can try his best but he won’t stop the dedicated #OccupyTheQuad protest.
As we enter Day 5 out on the Quad, we want to thank everyone for all the amazing support. We will not be moved until our demands are met by @UCC.
Following our meeting with UCC Campus Accommodation, an agreement has been reached to issue a rent refund to any student that chooses to return home.
Given the lack of on-campus lectures and general uncertainty, we‘re pleased to see this decision go through.
Take Care,
UCC SU

Image-Based Sexual Abuse affects 1 in 8 people who use social media. 90% of victims are women.
We need legislation, but not only that, we need a huge culture shift. The onus should not be on women to protect each other and themselves from this form of abuse.
