I am winding down off of Twitter. There really is not much point anymore. You can find me on Instagram- instagram.com/trythisteachin… I am very active there! And LinkedIn- linkedin.com/in/amjadalitry… BlueSky isn’t for me!

Annual Reminder. We MUSLIMS are not offended by Christmas. We are NOT bothered by you celebrating Christmas. We do not MIND you saying Happy Christmas. And we even enjoy an odd Christmas song or two too. Don’t let anybody tell you we are trying to cancel your Christmas!

Thoughts to all those suffering with Covid right now. Especially the school workers who put in a massive shift during that term only to be spending their holidays paying for it.

Nobody wants their children to be taught by tired, overworked, run down, underpaid and undervalued teachers. They want their children to have their best. That’s why everybody should support the #TeacherStrike it’s simply not right that we have had our pay frozen for years.

I’m expecting schools to be putting in Prevent referrals for any of their children on these “protests”. Not showing British Values. I expect parents to be contacted by social services teams. But that’s not what will happen.

Child benefit is so unfair- whilst totally needed for many, a household with both partners earning under £60k (£119,999 combined) can keep their child benefit but a household with only one partner earning over £60k (£60k combined) has to pay it back.
