    I only deduced this moments ago, but that panel when he retracts his hand and hesitates to dip his finger in the Virus, I can't help but feel his programming and understanding of Sonic, someone who is 'free as the wind' would not risk this. But at the point of infection...

    But he puts his finger in the Metal Virus anyway, but in his case, he does so knowingly. Almost like Eggman's guarantee of a 'rebellious Metal Sonic phase' can never happen again. Because he wants to be free, just like his loathsome copy. For that it is what a superior Sonic is.

    'what if?' Metal in a way doesn't realize, at this time, he is now the superior Sonic. Sonic, upon becoming infected, unwittingly loses his great sense of identity. And Metal, now faster, stronger, and free of chains that don't include the name Eggman, has lived up to his purpose

    This is by far one of my most favorite scenes given to a robot/automaton. The depth is uncanny, unforgettable, and brilliant because it is silent, but oh how it screams. Because if Metal had a mouth as resonant as Sonic's heart, the whole world would listen.

    A film as epic as this may not need a tag line for a movie poster, but if I had to throw my pitch in, it'd be: See the chaos for everyone... IN 3D AND IMAX. Congrats on an absolute GEM of a trailer, @SonicVillains team! This venture has been nothing short of incredible. HYPED!
