It seems some people are still confused about how autonomous the Optimus bots were at the Tesla event. This clip is from another video Tesla released a while ago. It shows how the bots are controlled remotely using a haptic suit, kind of like puppets. Also, during the event, the

Hi everybody. Tesla has just reported 254,695 deliveries in Q2. Congrats to the Tesla team for a respectable score despite Covid shutdowns in China. Both my production and delivery estimates were off by less than 1%. I'm happy with that.

Tesla blew away Wall Street expectations with 308,600 deliveries. Wow! It's amazing. Because the number is so high, my error rate exceeded 3% but I'm happy with the results. Congrats Tesla team.

    Replying to @elonmusk
Elon let's focus on 4680 cell production and getting Giga Berlin and Texas up to speed quickly. Less drama would be great.

Wow, Tesla just announced massive price drops in the US across the board. Model Y LR is now $13,000 cheaper before the tax credit and $20,500 cheaper including the tax credit. In case you are wondering if this affects my delivery estimate for Q1, yes, yes it does.

Tesla's cost reduction in Q3 2024 was huge. To put it in perspective, here's a chart that shows the blended worldwide cost per Model 3/Y.

I voted yes. Elon is a visionary engineer. I hope he refocuses on Tesla & SpaceX. The Twitter distraction has been a nightmare.
Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.

The Tesla China team is expected to deliver more than 100K cars this month (September). This will be a new record. The highest month last year was 71K in December. The highest month so far this year was 78K in June.

Wow, Tesla has just reported 310,048 deliveries in Q1 which is a new record. Congrats to the Tesla team. My delivery estimate was off by -0.3% which was a new record low for me too. I'm happy with that.

Tesla has just dropped its prices in China. The Model 3 Standard Range RWD now starts at ¥229,900. It was ¥265,900 from 24 Oct 2022 until now. 230K Yuan is about the same as the BYD Seal Standard Range RWD. I love this. The price war is on. Tesla is going all out.

Most people expect a drop in Tesla's gross margin in Q2 but I'm calculating an increase. Tomorrow will be interesting. Non-GAAP EPS: • My estimate: $2.18 • Consensus: $1.77 Automotive Gross Margin Excl Reg Credits: (was 30.0% in Q1) • My estimate: 31.1% • Consensus: 26.2%

Here is an idea for future @Tesla presentations: 1. Design a new product 2. Start producing it 3. Host a reveal event 4. Accept orders for immediate delivery

Congrats to Tesla for a mind-blowing quarter with 184,800 deliveries. My estimate was very wrong this time. There was a big error somewhere. It might have been related to MIC Model Y. I'm happy that I was completely wrong and Tesla far exceeded expectations.
