A football coach that I had once told me that I “didn’t have enough talent to play football at any level” he followed it up with, “just go get a job and provide for your wife.” Feeling thankful that I didn’t give up on myself and neither did Coach Fickell or anyone at UC.
I am very thankful for the opportunities I have been given. I am so proud of the OL and the team as a whole for searching way down inside and finding the will to win. No matter how dark and gloomy it felt. Let’s keep this rolling 🔴⚫️🔴⚫️❗️❗️❗️❗️ #GoCats
Most of you may not know but I have been battling testicular cancer for the better part of 5 months now. I haven't been hiding it, I just have not been advertising it and only a handful of people really know. I wanted to share a little about my experience.
I have nothing but love and respect for you coach. You gave me a second chance at the game I love. You renewed my passion and gave me two years of hard work, love, and camaraderie. The city of Cincinnati and UC is my home, and you were the one who gave it to me.
I think if you ask most of his former players, we would do the same talking about what he means to us. @ChadBrendel saw me get a little teary when I cut my hair and he was allowed to interview me in 2018.
Oh okay, so since UM played better the rest of the season it’s totally fine they are getting waxed? Weird that UC doesn’t get granted the same leeway. Having played at both UC and Ohio State, the level of competition, is not that different. So drop the bias and evaluate evenly.
High School kids really try to make fun of you for just about anything. One of my students just said “yeah, you sip on your coffee.” Then the whole class laughed. I know I didn’t actually, but it really feels like I got burned…
Today would have been my grandfather, Ned Rader’s, 80th birthday. He passed away earlier this year. I think about him often. An accomplished, nationally reknown horticulturist. A goofy jokester. Very intelligent and extremely kind hearted. He was a great role model to me. RIP Gpa
