    Dominic Smith just hit a game-tying solo home run in the top of the ninth inning for the @SyracuseMets. It is Smith’s first home run at any level since July 21, 2021.

    Brandon Sproat will come out of the bullpen today for Syracuse. It is an opportunity for Sproat to get some experience entering a game from the bullpen in case that’s a role the Mets need him in. Sproat has been one of the best pitchers in Triple-A for the last two months.

    New York @Mets relief pitcher Trevor May just made his third rehab appearance with the @SyracuseMets. May pitched on Wednesday and last night night. This afternoon, he just threw a scoreless inning with a strikeout. Today’s appearance is the best he has looked with Syracuse.

    Brandon Nimmo led off and played five innings in center field tonight for the @SyracuseMets as part of a rehab assignment. Nimmo went 2-for-3 at the plate with two singles, an RBI, and he was hit by a pitch.

    Josh Reddick just hit a pinch-hit, go-ahead, three-run home run for the @SyracuseMets in the final inning of tonight's game with two outs. It was his first at-bat with the team after signing a minor league contract with the @Mets today. Syracuse trailed, 8-0, but just won, 10-8.

    The 2024 @SyracuseMets have a 60-35 record. This is the first time a Syracuse baseball team is 25 games over .500 in 48 years! The 1976 Syracuse Chiefs finished the season with an 82-57 record. Thank you to Dave Smolnycki for helping research this.

    New York @Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco looks excellent today for the @SyracuseMets in a Major League rehab start against the @BuffaloBisons. @Cookie_Carrasco struck out three of the four batters he faced in the first inning.

    New York @Mets pitcher Tylor Megill pitched a 1-2-3 inning during a Major League rehab appearance tonight for the @SyracuseMets. Megill struck out a batter, induced two groundouts, hit 97 mph with his fastball, and threw ten pitches.

    This is me with my dad and his dad exactly 22 years ago, which was also Father’s Day. My family went to a Syracuse SkyChiefs game, and then we played catch on the field after the game. Happy Father’s Day!
