00:00 - Yesterday Treorchy Comprehensive School marched at London PRIDE. What an experience to be part of this inclusive celebration!
- After a challenging week it is very obvious that we have a very kind & thoughtful community. Your messages of support, the pupils’ respectful attitude & the enthusiasm & commitment of all staff have been extraordinary. Thanks to everyone for your cooperation, patience & kindness
- What an emotional day! It’s been an absolute pleasure Year 11 & 13 and we all look forward to seeing you again soon.
- A big thank you for the positive attitude of so many of our Treorchy students who returned to school this week. An excellent first week - well done!
- We received information on plans to reopen schools in the same way as you (via the TV briefing) today. We therefore need the “guidance” promised & time to digest it before we decide what to do next! We will keep you updated here & on the website as & when we have details to share
- Our thoughts are with all affected by the recent adverse weather. If you have children in our school who have been affected by the floods, please email [email protected] to let us know a) name of your child b) what the impact has been and c) how you think we could help
- Another week of uncertainty begins but one thing remains unchanged! The message that we walk/ drive by when leaving school has never been more important! The difference is that what we must do to Respect our Community today is clear -STAY HOME to save lives. Parchwch eich Cymuned
- Following a risk assessment of the school site & access routes at 4:30pm, it has been decided that Treorchy Comprehensive School will be closed tomorrow (Monday 19th March) as the pavements leading to school and the School site are unsafe.
- Huge congratulations to all pupils who received their results today! It has been a very challenging time for all of you but we were immensely proud & impressed with the way you conducted yourselves with humility & dignity today & also delighted with the fabulous results achieved.
- We have been in contact with families affected by floods last week & have arranged new uniform to be provided where needed. Thanks to U Design & Shoezone for their support with this. We will ensure all pupils have support as always when they return on Tuesday. INSET day tomorrow.
- Fantastic to see pupils and staff at the school today for the first time in a while! TCS has been a lonely place without you. Looking forward to seeing more pupils and staff tomorrow and during the next three weeks. Edrych ymlaen i weld pawb eto.
