@Bis18marck70, @MilHiVisualized, @CBI_PTO_History I don't know if any of you have seen the following video, but it is the best summary of 5th AF Air campaign from Aug - Oct 1943 around. Mission to Rabaul - Nonstop action in the South West Pacific 1943

This is a thread that will explain the implied poor Russian Army truck maintenance practices based on this photo of a Pantsir-S1 wheeled gun-missile system's right rear pair of tires below & the operational implications during the Ukrainian mud season.🧵 1/

Russia seems headed towards a February 1917 moment. 1. A kilogram of potatoes in Nov 2024 is 73% more expensive than in Jan 2024. 2. Interest rates reached 21% in Oct 2024 3. Mortgage rates have risen to 28% 1/

Lady's and Gentlemen, boys & girls, it is time saddle up for another installment of the "Mud and Truck Maintenance in Ukraine" feed. And this one will be a doozy, because we are talking about Russian truck refueling in the 64km column north of Kyiv. 🧵 1/

Alright, here is another Mud & truck maintenance post. Look at the tires in the video immediately under the wheel hubs. That is oil from the wheel hubs leaking onto those tires from the hub to the ground. The seals on those wheel hubs have failed due to dry rot. 1/2

Make no mistake, this is a "Caesar crossed the Rubicon" moment in Iranian history.
The largest picture of Ali Khamenei was burned in the center of Tehran, according to the video. #Iran

This is so damaging to the USA as a reputable arms supplier. Just kiss all future F-35 sales to Europe goodbye.

Alright Lady's & Gentlemen, boys and girls, it is time for another Truck logistics thread🧵 for this latest Russian Invasion of Ukraine. In it we are going to discuss the concept of "Operational Attrition" as applied to the Russian Army truck fleet in combat. 1/

...destroying Russian truck columns. The Crimea is a desert and the South Ukrainian coastal areas are dryer. So we are not seeing this there. But elsewhere the Russians have a huge problem for the next 4-to-6 weeks. 11/End

Israel just came on-side with Ukraine after Russia started using Iranian drones. Israeli anti-drone technology is now being transferred to Ukraine. 1/2 reddit.com/r/ukraine/comm…

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched a up to 25K, or small NATO Corps sized, incursion into the Kursk Oblast that is moving between 7 & 10 km a day. AFU Bde have between 4 to 9 battalions per brigade with 6 Bn as average, so ~18 Bn seem involved. AFU's Strategic raid🧵 1/

There is a huge operational level implication in this. If the Russian Army was too corrupt to exercise a Pantsir-S1. They were too corrupt to exercise the trucks & wheeled AFV's now in Ukraine. The Russians simply cannot risk them off road during the Rasputitsa/Mud season 7/

This is going to be a long thread🧵 on Ukraine's unique 21st century fighting style based on Uber style C3I software, why Western intelligence is plug ignorant of it due to CROWDSTRIKE cybersecurity firm, & the implications of SpaceX's Starlink satcom for the future... 1/

It has been a little while since I've talked about truck tires, but I've been DM-ed a couple of photos what are worth a thread.🧵 This is a Russian Grad launch truck with really old tires.👇 1/
