Thanks to all the fans for their support this past week. I’m honored to accept role as new #2 play by play announcer for the Angels. Big A has been home from before I could walk. Looking forward to spending Friday nights with you. Angels have a terrific broadcast team in booth &

Are we witnessing the first halftime show in the history of baseball? A sport that does not, in fact, have halves.

By this math, Ohtani is currently enjoying a -5.88 ERA
If every RBI by a pitcher counted as a negative earned run, then #Mets Jacob deGrom would have a -0.14 ERA on the season.

Just for those who may be confused on who to vote for, for AL MVP… Shohei Ohtani just out-dueled Alek Manoah tossing 7 scoreless innings with 9 Ks on the road, only to back it up with a 3-hit day including a homer.

If Shohei hasn’t shown you enough about what an MVP looks like, I can’t help you. No one can. Enjoy this baseball fans. Almost nothing in this game is one of a kind, he is. 2-4, RBI 8 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 10 K.

I asked Noah Syndergaard if he’d be open to a return to Angels this offseason. He said, “Absolutely.” And spoke about the core of young Angels pitchers and how he’s excited about their development.

This isn’t about the Rams not being as hungry, or not as good this year, or having Super Bowl hangover. This is about Josh Allen being one of the (or just THE) best QB(s) in the NFL on a great team in Buffalo. This is nothing about the Rams & everything about the Bills.

Shohei Ohtani (MLB Networks #1 Player Right Now), Mike Trout (#2) & Juan Soto (#4) will all be in the same game tonight.

Best win of the season for the Angels, who beat the Rangers, umpires, and New York. Impressive.

The greatest single season by one man in the history of this game took place this summer. An honor to follow. Unfathomable accomplishment.
Shohei Ohtani had two great seasons in one year. 🤯

    In August… Judge: .289 avg, 9 HR, 1.091 OPS *Ohtani: .317 avg, 8 HR, 1.039 OPS *Ohtani as a pitcher carried a 2.20 ERA, with 31 K and a .227 BAA in 5 starts.

Last thought of the night… Mike Trout has never gotten enough credit as a leader. He leads by example in being a great teammate. Trout’s disposition is allowing for this ego-free/swaggy/fun/together vibe we all see. He’s the adult in the room and his way enables this.

I think where the MVP race gets misconstrued is when Judge & Ohtani are compared as hitters. Think of it like if Gerrit Cole had 34 homers & 89 RBI. And BTW, Ohtani’s been better than Cole this year.
