- Shoto means “burn” and “freeze” in kanji. He was named after his quirk bc Endeavor only saw him as his quirk. But in his hero name he changed Shoto to katakana which has no meaning. He can give any meaning to it himself. Because his arc is that he decides who he wants to be.
