What the Ukraine flag signifies. A golden field of grain (Ukraine is the world's 4th largest exporter of barley and corn, and the 5th largest exporter of wheat) beneath clear blue skies. Sky above grain, or freedom above bread.🇺🇦
- Flat Bridge is designed to be submerged when the river is in spate due to heavy rainfall. It's been there since 1774 (current model) and isn't going anywhere. 🇯🇲

- In the post-Bolt slump, at the first post-Bolt Olympics, we didn't even get to the 100m men's final. One Olympics later, the reigning World Champion had to PB and benefit from a photo finish to deny us gold. Jamaican men's sprinting is back, and great things are ahead. 🔥🇯🇲
- 1/6: The Danniel Thomas-Dodd Affair: First, Danniel is not some hurry-come-up athlete, and even if she was a novice, she’d still deserve support. She’s the national record holder, 3-time Olympian, Pan Am and Commonwealth champion, and has a World Championship silver medal.
- Someone named Usain, clearly named after Bolt, wins a 200m final, and then right after, a kid from Bolt's school (William Knibb) wins the next 200m final, the first from that school since Bolt. I hope Bolt was watching. If he was, he'll be grinning into next week! 🙌🏾😂
- Spare a thought for poor Ta Lou...a great talent and a good sport...(we should offer her a nice post-season vacation) in every major race this season, she's beaten everyone in the world who isn't Jamaican, yet has nothing to show for it but a trailer-load of 4th places...🤦🏾♂️
- For us to have @FastElaine,fastest woman alive and only woman to claim Olympic double double; @sherickajacko, the most complete female sprinter in history; and @realshellyannfp, most decorated female sprinter of all time at the senior level, at the same time, is just crazy. 🔥🇯🇲
- Finishing with 9 medals equals the tally we achieved in Sydney in 2000 and handsomely beats the 5 we took in Athens in 2004. Our biggest haul in the magical Bolt era was 12, so to fall only 3 short of that with so many mishaps is remarkable. Well done to the entire team!!👏🏾🙌🏾🔥🇯🇲
