    My father in NY passed away Wed. fighting #COVID19 for 31 days on a ventilator. He was an immigrant worker who believed in the American Dream. I couldn’t save my dad’s life, but together we can save the lives of essential #meatpacking #workers. Who’s with me? #coronavirus

    We ended #2020 with hope and love. My son, Luca Anthony Vargas, was born on #NewYearsEve. His middle name “Anthony” is in honor of my late father who we lost this year to #COVID19. Lauren and baby Luca are doing well. From our family to yours, #HappyNewYear, #Omaha.

    Tonight I’m in North #Omaha knocking doors and a guy across the street shouts, “hey! You are that guy running for #Congress, you cooked w/ your mom on TV! Man, I like what you stand for, you’ve got my vote”. 7 more neighbors came out to meet me after that. #TeamTony is growing!

    Today someone told me I’m “overreacting” for wearing a mask. I told them how I lost my dad to #COVID19. They quickly changed their tune. It hurts sharing the story of my dad, but if I can inspire people to help protect others, then it’s 100% worth it. #MaskOn
