It’s OK to be affected by the passing of someone you didn’t know personally; part of you can pass, too. To be affected by loss is compassion in its most pure form, “to suffer with”, quite literally.
And in that way we we carry all we have lost.

Mental health doesn’t discriminate. How we address it does. We all need to have a more realistic view of how we fall, so we can fall better. Because how we treat our most vulnerable is also a measure of who we are-and that can always be better.
