Please don’t include Liverpool Football Club in this bullshit. It’s the club of Ronnie Rosenthal and Avi Cohen. It’s the club of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane. It’s the club of Parson Jackson and Bill Shankly (with no e). It’s a club of all flags, all religions, all nations and none.
Congratulations to the great people of #Liverpool to the memory of the socialist miner #BillShankley to the fallen #96 to those who fought for justice for them and to the Liverpool dockers. No #Israël flags on the Cup!

There was a moment last night when it looked like Son had gone past him. You could literally hear people say “He’s beat Van Dijk” and then he just changed gear and everything was right with the world again.
0 - No opposition player has completed a dribble past Virgil van Dijk in any of his last 64 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool. Rock. #UCLFinal

Firmino with one of the great understated performances there. Defensively outstanding at set pieces, a brilliant assist for Henderson’s goal, a typically unselfish run to create the space for Salah’s and a nuisance throughout.

Liverpool is a special, special football club when everyone pulls together. Anything becomes possible.

I’m not sure there’s a country that comes close to Germany for a European football trip. Great stadia, welcoming cities, low key policing, top notch beer (apparently) and all underpinned by a proper football culture that values supporters from wherever they come.

A personal anecdote about Kenny Dalglish that, for me, captures everything that he’s about: During his second stint as Liverpool manager my dad was admitted to a hospice & Kenny found out. He rang me every day with out fail. I didn’t realise it then but he was counselling me.

“I’m not blagging. I really did used to play in the same team as Andy Robertson.”

Three holds and a submission and somehow Gary Neville thinks it’s not a penalty.

Liverpool sign Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson for £66m, as they look to concede slightly fewer goals on the way to not winning anything.

It takes some bollocks for a young footballer to stand up for himself the way Raheem Sterling has today. It might be an idea if what he has said is listened to rather than just being dismissed by the usual big noises.

    Booing Van Dijk worked then.

Something from tonight that deserves highlighting - one of the reasons why the Liverpool end looked so spectacular was @SpionKop1906 decided to bring the Kop to Madrid. The effort that they put in to make this happen was well above the call of duty 👏🏻
