- Edward Colston ran a company that shipped 84,000 kidnapped African men, women & children to the Americas - 19,000 of these are estimated to have died during the crossing. He was a mass murderer as well as a slave trader. The statue in Bristol should have come down years ago.
- If you're concerned about the BBC and political bias, it's Robbie Gibb you should be worried about, not Gary Lineker.
- Mel Gibson's house in LA has burned down while Gibson was being interviewed by Joe Rogan. During this interview, Gibson nodded along in agreement while Rogan accused climate scientists of fearmongering. You couldn't make this sh*t up.
- Well blow me down! Rishi Sunak's main election strategist Isaac Levido is also a very highly paid lobbyist for Palantir, the dodgy US firm owned by a far-right billionaire that"s just been given a huge NHS data contract. Small world, isn't it? #Newsnight
- When UKIP won 166 councillors (but no councils) in 2014 the BBC called this a "political earthquake". @TheGreenParty just gained 200 councillors, taking the total to 737, took control of a council & became the biggest party in several others. But 0 Green guests on #bbclaurak.
- The Greens now have nearly 200 more councillors than Reform. - Graham Smith of Republic says the police would not tell him and 5 others the grounds on which they were being arrested. This would therefore seem to be an illegal arrest. This government has *no* respect for the most fundamental principles of the rule of law.
- Nor surprised to see a 'Trump 2024' flag at the so-called #freedomrally in London. These crowds always include a large far-right element, as well as deluded #COVIDIOTS who have watched too many dodgy Youtube videos.
- Slaves who became sick in the unbearable conditions of the Middle Passage, or who were otherwise judged to be of no commercial value, were often thrown overboard. Which makes the fate of Edward Colston's statue seem quite fitting. #BlackLivesMatter #BlackLivesMatterUK
