- When Ryan Day said earlier week that the colors at the Rose Bowl are brighter, this is what he was talking about. The walk out from the all-concrete tunnel to the stadium bowl always feels like going from Kansas to Oz.

- Michigan still has only five 11+ win seasons since 1906 (1971, 1986, 1997, 2006, 2011). The Buckeyes have won 11+ seven times under Urban Meyer alone. The Wolverines have two 12+ win seasons in history (1905, 1997) OSU has six 12+ win seasons under Meyer.
- Looking at photos from last year's game, Conner Stalions (mouth open, closest to the field) is right next to Michigan DC Jesse Minter when Ohio State has the football, and right next to then-co-OC Sherrone Moore when Michigan had the football.
- Donovan Jackson might be the biggest unsung hero of this Ohio State football season. To move out to left tackle in his final season was an incredibly selfless move, and has been a huge part of the offense's success.
- I’m not saying the last five minutes are 100 percent conclusive proof that NFL officiating is rigged to benefit big-market teams, but *IF* NFL officiating was rigged to benefit big-market teams, this is a lot like what it would look like.
- Washington’s live mascot is an Alaskan Malmute, which is a type of husky. Sources on the ground at Husky Stadium can confirm that Dubs is a good boy.
- Former Alabama center Seth KcLaughlin knows how to celebrate a win over Tennessee.
- Michigan’s seniors just ended their careers with four straight years of losing to Ohio State and then also losing a bowl game. Their fourth year guys just played an entire college career without ever winning after Thanksgiving.
- This lasted for about three minutes and then they put their shirts back on.Ohio State will be wearing their red jerseys tonight. Tennessee has opted for “skins.”
- The final AP Poll is out. Unsurprisingly, the Buckeyes are No. 1. They have wins over No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 3 Oregon, No. 4 Texas, No. 5 Penn State, No. 9 Tennessee, and No. 10 Indiana. That is almost certainly the greatest resume of any team in college football history.
