Otsuka Museum of Art in Tokushima has a full sized replica of " Big Water-Lilies" by Claude MONET. And there's a beautiful pond around it.

- This is a hot spring bathroom in a hotel near Fukuroda Waterfall. In the morning there was no one except me in it, so I could take these pix
- Two days ago, I visited Akeno in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Akeno has the longest duration of sunshine in Japan, and therefor it has several majestic fields with about 600, 000 sunflowers.
- My son and his wife, who are already married, have had to postpone their wedding twice because of the pandemic. And they were finally able to have a wedding today. With the dramatic reduction in the number of infection in Japan, the wedding could be held with almost no worries.
- The cherry blossoms in Tokyo will be in full bloom in 10 days. Before that, I collected some of the cherry blossom photos I've taken so far. The first three are Chidorigafuchi Park, and the last one is a row of cherry blossom trees in the neighborhood. #千鳥ヶ淵公園

- Five friends from my university days got together in Shinjuku for the first time in a long time. All of us are 75 or 76 years old. Each of us lives a vibrant life with our own "ikigai." We had a lot of discussion about politics and the future of Japan.

- Japan has a lot of rain and the soil is prone to becoming acidic. Azaleas prefer acidic soil, so they are well suited to Japan's climate. Because they are relatively hardy, azaleas are often planted along the sides of public roads, which is why they can be seen all over Tokyo.
