- Spoke with several @PGATOUR players who were a part of a meeting in Delaware that ultimately reshaped the Tour schedule. Most of those players were offered @livgolf_league money but turned it down to be loyal to the Tour. Those players told me they feel betrayed and manipulated.
- Before teeing off for his second round @WillZalatoris pauses to watch @TigerWoods finish on 18 Friday at @TheOpen.
- Viktor Hovland is in full caddie mode for his friend Zach Bauchou at the Columbus, Ohio qualifier for the @usopengolf. Viktor is engaged getting yardages, cleaning clubs, doing everything to help Zach. Shows great humility and character to do this after a win like @MemorialGolf.
- .@McIlroyRory will wear black pants and a red shirt in the final round of the @WGCWorkday to show support for @TigerWoods. I’m certain he won’t be the only one.
- Cool moment at @TheNTGolf Tuesday when @TigerWoods came up to @collin_morikawa and said “Welcome to the Major club.”
- Spoke with Bryson’s Mom, Jan Dechambeau who watched from her home in California. She purposefully didn’t come because the only time she skipped the @usopengolf he won, which was at Winged Foot. Said she thought about her husband Jon Dechambeau all day. Jon passed in 2022.
- After their @PNCchampionship pro am @TigerWoods takes a load off and watches son Charlie telling him “Hit whatever shot you want, pin high.”
- I spoke with @Keegan_Bradley about not being a Captain’s Pick: “I could tell by the response from Zach when I answered the phone that I wasn’t on the team…I’m super bummed out. I thought I put together a really good year with two wins…I am pulling for the US Team.”
- .@JordanSpieth will have his Dad on the bag this week for the @WGCMexico under tough circumstances. Jordan’s regular caddie, Michael Greller lost his Father, John “Bear” Greller. Michael flew home to be with his family. A tough time for a great person. Thinking of you Michael.
- An exception is being made this week at Detroit Golf Club for 15 year old Miles Russell as he tees it up in the @RocketClassic. Look closely!
