In late 2020, during the worst of the global COVID pandemic, SEGA received fan mail from a father telling us the Deadly Six were his sons favorite characters and that they were reading the IDW comics together as an escape from all the problems the world was facing at the time.

To say these Takeovers are difficult to produce would be an understatement. People don't realize how physically & mentally demanding these events are. Thankfully, we have the most talented team around who can handle the 8+ hour marathon of acting, writing, editing, & producing.

I pitched really hard for the final name of the game to be “Sonic the Hedgehog’s Choo-Choo Boo-Boo” In the end, the title was outvoted, but it made Greg laugh, so it became the codename instead. I still like TMoSTH because we somehow got the word “Murder” in an E-rated title.
