- Shoutout to the European pro at my table who won’t chop and is using a limp strategy in the small blind … in a 5/10 game with $7 flat drop on the flop
- Thanks to @senortilt for his kind offer to give me $10k to play with him. I accept. @HCLPokerShow @dylanflashner
- About once a month I like to call a river raise with less than the nuts or something, just to confirm that they do, in fact, always have it. These are expensive lessons, but nothing valuable comes for free.
- I rarely drink when I play, but my table just hit a $50k jackpot, so it’s time
- Maybe the best episode I've ever gotten to commentateOMG!! $909,000 POT!! 💰💰💰 Mariano rivers the NUTS in an absolute dream spot 💥 After being down over $300K tonight, Mariano is now winning over $200K 😱
00:00 - A student of mine/ours is playing 5/10 today after beating 2/5 for $75 an hour the past three months 👍
- A guy at my table just tanked for so long that the dealer actually asked a player if he wanted to call the clock
- A Chinese guy at my table is refusing to straddle and the Chinese dealer is currently teaching the table to say “tightass” in Mandarin
- Every year I spend a few slow days in the desert and I accidentally think about big and awful and inspiring questions, like what it means to live a good life and the ways I have failed and the ways I can fail less. And then I return to the city and forget it all within hours
- Getting limp-reraised is annoying, but usually what’s happening is that your opponent has a great hand and finds playing poker really scary, and you should be happy they faced their fears and came to play with you today
