- This is an old debate. As a former news manager, here’s my take: You want your talent to relate to viewers. They’re showing civic pride. Just because they wear a team’s logo on air doesn’t compromise their ethics or integrity. They can be part of #BillsMafia and be journalists.I am sure this will be an unpopular take for everyone but journalists: News anchors should not wear Bills winter hats as Ch4’s Melanie Orlins and Dave Greber did today during their reports. You are not supposed to be cheerleaders.
- I know I’m in the minority of #BillsMafia in thinking this, but I see this as a step forward. I liked most of these guys. But we tried with them and it didn’t work. We retool and try it again with the same stars and new supporting players. Sentimental doesn’t win championships.
