- A rant: Recipes that advise adding garlic to pan at same time you add onionsโwhich is *most* recipesโdrive me crazy. Garlic needs to cook only till fragrant; 1-2 minutes. In the time it takes to cook onions through, garlic is in grave danger of burning, ruining *both* veggies.
