- I had a friend who worked at BK. Headset fell into the fryer, man's panicked and was like "oh shit, gotta get that out." reached his hand into the fryer and yanked it out. his fucking manager told him he could still work, said to just put a glove over it.
- You don't use tongs to get fries out of a frier, you use a basket. Didn't have a basket in it at the time, but I've been told there's tongs at the end of the frier for such an event. I don't know his thought process, but it was likely panic and worry about repercussions.
- No basket in the fryer, and he was told if something happened to the headset then he'd have to pay like 250 for it and there'd be repercussions for it. He wasn't thinking 'this fryer on, not a good idea', he was thinking 'oh shit, there's gonna be hell to pay, gotta get it'.
- Replying to @zervin_za_neroWhile yes, it's certainly not a good idea to put ones hand into a fryer, he was told there's a lot of repercussions for losing the headset. Thinking more of that than anything. And yeah, he had to work with burns. Idk what happened to the manager, if anything.

- He was threatened into making sure nothing happened to the headsets. I don't know how much they cost, I don't know BK's procedures. He did it to try and prevent himself from having to undergo whatever repercussions they told him.
