If you could travel back in time to watch any New York Mets player, who would it be? I'm going with Tom Seaver.

1-22-1998, the A's signed Rickey Henderson, giving him a 4th(!) stint in Oakland! He hit just .236, but posted a .376 OBP with an AL leading 118 walks. At the age of 39 he also led the league with 66 stolen bases!

Happy bday Sean McDonough! A great announcer who also, refreshingly, isn't afraid to criticize. Announced the Red Sox 1st decade I watched. Jerry Remy credited him with bringing out his personality & humor on air. Has announced pretty much every sport & at the highest levels.

12-31-2001, a game after scoring 51 points, Michael Jordan scored 45 points to go along with 10 rebounds, 7 assists & 3 steals as the Wizards beat the Nets 98-76. Again, this is when he was a Wizard. 🐐

2-3-1997, the Red Sox signed Newton, Massachusetts own, Jim Corsi. Corsi was an excellent addition to the Red Sox bullpen; between 1997 & 98 he went 8-5 with a 2.98 ERA over 111 appearances. He also threw 3 shutout innings in the 1998 postseason. ❤️
