Today we are paying our respects to consultant cardiologist Professor John Somauroo when his funeral procession passes outside the hospital. Prof Somauroo was a wonderful man who gave so much to his patients and was highly respected and valued by everyone at The Countess.
We would like to say a huge thank you to @wagamama_uk Cheshire Oaks restaurant. On Monday they very kindly dropped off enough free food for all of our A&E staff, a kind gesture that was undoubtedly the highlight of a very busy shift and one all the staff were very grateful for.
Mona Thomas, 92, from Tarvin, was the first patient to receive the #COVID19 vaccine in Cheshire this morning. Mona was due to come to the hospital for an early appointment and jumped at the chance to have the vaccine
