00:00 - If your high school team do not play any games in the June NCAA Live period, you have to reevaluate how serious they are about basketball and that high school coach should save their opinion in July with the summer team.
- Memphis Basketball is a prime example of what happen when you bring in a coach that have good relationships with top kids from high school and AAU. Colleges keep recycling the same coaches and expecting different results.
- Some parents will PAY thousands of dollar for private school claiming good education despite no guarantees of an academic college scholarship but play on an AAU team FREE and demand a basketball college scholarship.
- AAU is blamed for EVERYTHING negative with bball (high school, college, NBA, USA ball, etc) but receives no credit for good things in hoops
- All players must know the difference between these 5 things: 1. Player vs Prospect 2. Journalists vs Scout 3. College Interest vs College Offers 4. Rebounder vs Trainer 5. HS Grad Requirement vs D1 Requirements
- Kenny Boynton last two games he has scored 69 (13 3’s) & 53 (12’s) facing Baylor former standout Isaiah Austin’s Guangxi squad & Ohio St Amir Williams’ Fujian squad in China’s NBL. Boynton is averaging 48ppg.
- AAU is to blame when the U.S. is losing but AAU gets no credit when the U.S. win 🤔. EVERY player on the U.S. Team played AAU.
- So, The NCAA has spoken. Reduce the influence of shoe companies in amateur hoops by limiting AAU and putting more power back into high school programs. Can somebody tell these people that the shoe companies sponsor just as many high school teams as AAU teams.
- EYBL coaches when you are recruiting players that play with Team Breakdown you have to do more than tell them you get a chance to play on the EYBL Circuit. They know it take more than a swoosh for them to reach their goal.
- Lack of development by the AAU system? Someone explain how Trevon Duval the #1 PG in the country, goes to Duke, plays for the head coach of USA Basketball, does not develop his game and does not get drafted. That’s the result of the NCAA and USA Basketball working together.
