    Can’t give the entire @QuincyGems organization enough thanks for asking me to throw out the first pitch tonight. The kind gesture was not necessary but greatly appreciated. The past two summers have been an absolute pleasure to spend around a great club!

    Just witnessed a coach from Odessa approach his athlete wrapped his arms around her and said: “I know you’re disappointed, but I’m not. You know why? Because I know you gave it everything you had and that’s all I can ask” Need more coaches like this

    If you can’t watch a JUNIOR VARSITY game without making a complete fool out of yourself by yelling at officials every time your golden child doesn’t get a call their way, perhaps you should just stay home and watch on the computer. Or better yet, take some anger management

    If you ever need your faith in humanity restored, I urge you to attend a cross country meet. Any XC meet will do it. It does not matter the color of uniform a runner is wearing, people here can be heard rooting for EVERYONE, fast or slow. Rest of the world can learn a lot here

    One thing to keep in mind about cross country...there’s just one class. There’s no Class A and 2A, 3A and 4A. No big school class and small school class. The runner next to you may be from a school with 2,000 + kids or maybe 200. Doesn’t matter, you just lace em up and compete!

    How about this dude … Shakamak freshman Cameran Paulin set a new PR in the 1,600 meters today at the Clay City Invite with a time of 9:27.31. Todays time is 29 seconds better than his previous best 😎😎😎 👏 👏 👏

    I say this every year, probably multiple times, but the absolute worst part of this job is seeing kids walk out of a lockeroom/out of the gym crying because it’s over. No matter how many times I witness it, it still ties my stomach in knots! Call me a big softy, but it sucks!
