Tom Brady on practice: "I want to earn it every single day... that's what's going to be the best for the team... if you can't preach that message to your teammates... you're in the wrong business and you're going to lose a lot of games.

Vince Lombardi on winning: "If you go out on a football field... or any other endeavor in life, and you leave every fiber of what you have on the field when the game finally ends, then you've won. To me, that tells you a lot more than the final score."

Sean McVay at the USC clinic: "We talk about having an identity... and for us... it's the marriage of the run and pass game, plays that start out looking the same that are different." Here's an example of a series of plays he showed, each play working off of the previous.

Kenny Stills on why he made it and others didn't: "I was just always working... there's sacrifices you gotta make... you're not gonna be like everybody else." Short-term consequences lead to long-term benefits. You cannot expect superior results from an average process.

"You're gonna win or lose games at practice... there's no such thing as being a 'game day player.' You see situations come up on the practice field, you've worked on it... when it comes up in the game, because you're trained... you react and make the play." - Ernie Adams

Kobe on pressure: "If you know you've put in all the work, what is there to be nervous about?" "Do you want to look at pressure as a normal sport occurrence like breathing is to every single day of your life? Then you put in the work, and if you don't, then that's on you."

The Rams have had a lot of success with their half-boot throwback plays over the past 2 years (45 plays, 571 yards, 3 TDs). On these plays, they will leave a TE and WR on the backside of the zone action to allow the QB to set up and throw back across the field.
