Our latest rescue Janet is practising her tool skills. Mama P. has put honey in a piece of termite mount. Janet is taking the honey out with a stick. It's one of the many skills that we are teaching her at the sanctuary. Skills that she would normally learn from her mother.

Big Male, Big Heart 💚 Alpha male AJ playing with toddler Rasta. All of the chimpanzees arriving at Tacugama have suffered some kind of mental trauma as a result of the violent separation from their families. Seeing them happy and fully integrated in a new family is priceless 💚
