    I've coached HS softball for 30 years and some days I just shake my head at things I hear and see that go on when folks don't get their way. Playing time on varsity is not guaranteed, but some think because they make a team, they are entitled to play. Work hard and EARN IT.!

    Just heard very sad news this morning. Megan Dobrinski, head coach at Bullard HS, 33, passed away this morning of cancer. She leaves a husband and 2 young children. I'll be in contact with family soon to see what we can do for them in union as Texas HS softball coaches.

    Instead of getting in an uproar, we need to thank @uiltexas, @TAPPSbiz, & @spcsports for considering opportunities for our kids to have a chance to finish their seasons. They could have cancelled the season, but they are trying their best to help. @AustinTGCA @THSCAcoaches

    Please send prayers to the families of the Seguin HS and TLU softball players as there was a serious automobile accident yesterday. I can't post any specific details at this time, but the coaches have asked for as many prayers as possible. When we know more, a follow up post will

    It was at the State meet on the University of Texas track using their technology which is better than most places. That's why the Texas Relays is one of the top meets in the country.

    Due to health issues, I have retired from coaching softball. A great run of 26 yrs as a head coach, 32 coaching softball & 37 years in education. I'm still going to continue Texas Prep Softball & serve our softball community as I have proudly done for 18 years.

    Yesterday may have been my last game as a coach on the field, but I do not plan to retire from promoting our sport and helping our coaches. Thank you for all your support over the years and I hope to continue serving you in the future.

    History made for the Rio Grande Valley as @whssoftball00 Weslaco wins the 1st ever @uiltexas softball state championship for a RGV school by scoring 8 runs in the bottom of the 7th with a walkoff grand slam by Andrea Ortiz to beat Waco Midway 11-9.
