    Pleasantry surprised that more than 11,000 bags( 500gm) of Ethiopian Coffee in stock were sold in 5 seconds in Shanghai in a live-streaming online event where the most influencer promoter #Li Jiaqi and I promoted # Ethiopian Coffee via Tmall Global platform.

    Had a very fruitful meeting with representatives of #Shanghai Pharma, z 2nd largest pharmaceutical company in China. The company after completion of feasibility study has decided to invest in Ethiopia. The managers of Shanghai Pharma Ethiopia will soon travel to Ethiopia. Great!

    Great news and great hope as Wuhan is unlocked today and life returns to normal after 76 days of lockdown. The 11 million residents including Ethiopian students deserve our appreciation for courage, perseverance and solidarity against that fight COVID 19. Congratulations to all.

    A team from NRC visited Ex Shene fighters who surrendered armed struggle and opted for returning to peaceful n productive life to contribute to peace democracy and development in z country. Agreed to be part of the NDRP coordinated by NRC. We hope the rest will follow suit .

    Apparently there are those who misquoted or misunderstood my statement #Bahir Dar. I never talked about Special Forces. That is not the mandate of NRC. We only deal with DR of ex-combatants who are disarmed. Disarming is not z mandate of NRC. Obviously DR is a national program.

    Had very fruitful meeting with ⁦@WuPeng_MFAChina⁩ on bilateral relations, regional and global issues of common concern and interest to both Ethiopia and China. I updated the DG on domestic issues, our border tension b/n Sudan and Ethiopia and GERD negotiations.

    I am very grateful to SANY Group for responding positively to my appeal for support by donating 100000 disposable masks to assist Ethiopia’s fight against COVID 19. We are grateful for the show of solidarity. The response from our Chinese partners is very encouraging.
