Dear College Football Freshmen of America, The home sickness and nerves you’re feeling are not unique. You’re not alone. It’s normal. For perhaps the first time, push through adversity. You’ll be proud, and you’ll never feel like quitting again. Trust me.

D3 kids do the same amount of work, WITHOUT the free stuff.
Went D3 and we had 6am lifts, class, then 3-4 hour practices. Wish people wouldn’t put it out like D1 athletes do so much more than any other college level

If I lose a recruit because I’m honest with him, I will live with it. Honesty in coaching has to be an all the time thing.

Coach Leach had heart problems, but it still serves as a reminder... Coaches, take care of yourselves. Walk, run, lift, hoop. Something. A lot of fitness ticking time bombs in this profession. Model behaviors and stay around for your teams and families.

D3s recruiting you: we will give you a bunch of financial aid to help! Schools offering PWOs: we will give you NOTHING! No issue with betting on yourself, but make informed decisions.

I evaluate you. I recruit you. You apply/visit. I keep recruiting you. Hopefully, you choose us. You come to school/play ball. You graduate. “Offer culture” is cancer.

There are schools who offer 1000 kids. These are MEANINGLESS. How did it get this crazy? I realize I'm redundant, but this is insanity. I jump on here & see the same schools offering 50-100 kids every single day. It's a joke.

NCCAA Division I & II is not the same as NCAA Division I & II. Not knocking anything, but make sure you know what's going on. Knowledge is power.

If you’re being actively recruited by a D3 school, you have an “offer”. To some of us “offer” means ATHLETIC scholarship, so we don’t use the word. If I’m recruiting you, we want you!

"Committing" before a final financial aid package is a dangerous game. Don't be pressured/rushed. Find the best VALUE for you.

Gonna sound bitter, but I'm not. Life tip though. Don't "ghost" recruiters. Let a coach know if you're not interested any longer. We won't be mad at you (disappointed, sure). Don't burn bridges. Show the respect you want to receive.

The amount of high school football players who don’t know how to loosen/tighten a chinstrap is staggering. My mind is BLOWN.
