For clarity, we do not accept media requests to "debate" whether trans identities are valid. Our existence is not up for debate. If you receive a similar request or if you're unsure about a media request, please call us! We're here to help & support: 01 873 3575 or [email protected]

Today July 15th marks the 7th anniversary of the enactment of the Gender Recognition Act 2015. This was a very progressive piece of legislation at the time with Ireland being only the fourth country to allow Transgender people to legally self-declare their gender identity 1/3

Now more than ever, we need your help. If you can, please turn up to Trans Pride this Saturday July 16th, 2pm at The Garden of Remembrance, Dublin. We need people to stand with us, in what’s been and continues to be, a horrific time for trans people. Please come along 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

TENI are delighted to bring some good news. As a result of administrative changes in the gender recog act review there is no longer a need to provide a deed poll / proof of use of nameapplying for a Gender Recognition Cert. your new name on the application form is sufficient.

We're delighted and humbled by the many, many donations we've received over the last 24 hours. Thank you, you lovely humans you! You are helping us to support our community and do vital work. Will we ever know what inspired this generosity? We certainly can't explain it.

LGBT+ people across Ireland deserve to live happy lives free from prejudice. For that to happen, we must all step up to help bring homophobia, biphobia and transphobia to an end. If you see it, #CALLITOUT Join the campaign 👉 callitout.ie

We don't know who needs to hear this, but transgender (or trans) is an adjective, not a noun or a verb. We're not 'transgenders' and we didn't get up this morning and spend a couple of hours 'transgendering' before breakfast. Thanks for your attention!

We are disappointed to see unfounded views on trans young people in the ad for @RTE_PrimeTime next week. Check out the evidence in the comprehensive report on Gender Recognition in Ireland. welfare.ie/en/downloads/G… Trans people worried about this, we have your back. ❤️
