The first ever #SydneyMetro passenger services have officially started their first trips between Tallawong and Chatswood 🥳 Travel is free on metro only but please take care and be patient as large crowds are expected throughout the day.
More than 103,000 people used the new #SydneyMetro in its first seven hours of operation today. Thanks for joining us on Australia’s biggest public transport project!
Good morning! With just under 140,000 people who used the new #SydneyMetro yesterday, we’re ready for a big day today. Heading to work with the new North West Line? Our Teal T-Shirt team are here to help and don't forget to plan ahead with trip planner at transportnsw.info
We know today was busy with more 80,000 trips in about five hours on #SydneyMetro, that’s double what the Epping-Chatswood line did in a regular day. We thank you for all your patience - there’s still things we know we have to improve on, we’ll keep working to get it better.
If you are travelling today, remember to spread evenly along the platform and use all available doors when boarding the metro.

#SydneyMetro services are running around every five minutes. There are crowds at some stations including Epping, so remember to spread out across the platform.
It's free to travel on #SydneyMetro North West this Sunday, no need to tap on! You'll still need to tap on and off other public transport from outside the area, or are going beyond Chatswood on the Sydney Trains network, so do bring your Opal card. bit.ly/2HJSLrV

We know there are still some teething issues we need to work on.
We’ll use your feedback to improve our operations and communications over the next few weeks.
