- A bad D1 team with no recent success or history of player development is not a better choice than D2 D3 Juco etc. FYI
- College summer leagues should be 40 games and championship done by aug 1. After august everyone’s ready to go home
- In 2023, MLB hitters hit .263 on 97+ fastballs down the middle. In 2023, MLB hitters hit .323 on 90-92mph fastballs on the corners.
- Mlb hitters r hitting .176 after two strikes. Lesson here - your approach is as important as your swing. Be ready to hit your pitch within the first three pitches. Most poor results come from 1) taking a strike u should have smashed 2) missing your pitch 3) swinging at balls
- Schools about to start. Parents - make sure you go to all of your kids classes, get a good seat, yell instructions the whole time, tell the instructor what to do, and at the end of the day take your kid home and tell them everything they should have done better. Sound familiar?
- If you’re a HS senior going to college to play baseball and you don’t do anything all summer - prepare to get chewed up and spit out in the fall. Lift - run - throw - Hit - etc. Hardly working leads to hardly playing.
- Coaches always get the playing time texts from parents - rarely get the thank you for spending so much time away from your own family to invest time in their son/daughter. 🤷♂️
- I hope that young man is alright. But people need to seriously start talking about the record number of young people with 0 preexisting heart issues who have experienced sudden cardiac arrest in the past year.
