- As a superintendent, I aged in dog years. Each. Day. This. Week. So all things considered, I look pretty good for an 87-year-old woman.
- It’s 9:00 pm & I finally have time to send this message: to every vendor, solution partner, researcher, education advocate, etc. please stop. Just stop. My WA superintendent colleagues & I confronting school closure need to focus on our communities. Let us do our jobs.
- As educators we must convey to our children and young people that what is happening in our U.S. Capitol today is neither a demonstration of leadership, nor freedom of expression. Real leaders do not bully, intimidate or incite violence against those who disagree with them. 1/4
- It is official! As of July 6 I will be the proud, new superintendent for @WashoeSchools. I am honored, thrilled and eager to join this special community. Thank you for the warm Nevada welcome! 🎶🎶🎶🎶 #HomeMeansNevada
- How many of my fellow superintendents have someone say to them, almost daily, “I’m sure glad I’m not you!”? And after briefly thinking it’s a valid question and feeling daunted about the work ahead, how many feel grateful to be a superintendent putting children ahead of politics?
