IDK who needs to hear this but other ppl's trauma and abuse isn't about you. Share their statements and maybe a few words of support but otherwise it's ok to shut the fuck up. Preferred even. It's really fucking weird to turn someone else's abuse into a platform for yourself.

Stop starting DIY labels + then taking on 15 acts w 6 vinyl runs worth of debt to make it pop off fast instead of growing at a realistic pace. Help small bands that need help + grow with them. Make sure you understand the financials. Good intentions alone don't make good results.

The problem with a lot of DIY label owners AND artists is that they're narcissists who secretly don't understand why you'd ever do something without an immediate benefit to yourself. They hate everything that doesn't get them attention and want to give as little as possible.
