- #KeepingTheTradition Tonight we celebrated the 18th Ethiopian Flag Rising with my friends in the Ethiopian-American community at San Jose City Hall. Thank you to the Ethiopian American Council.
- 🚝 All aboard the Anna Eshoo train! 🚝 @Caltrain has named one of their first electric trains after @RepAnnaEshoo because of her longtime advocacy for safer, quieter, faster, and zero emission trains. 32 years in Congress! Thank you so much for all you have done, Congresswoman!
- #VTAFamily Thousands of people showed up outside SJ City Hall for a vigil to remember the 9 VTA workers who were senselessly killed Wedneday at the rail yard. We must honor their memories as a community&help support their family members left behind act.wpusa.org.
- Gov. Newsom also announced Calif. has reached agreement with the Motel 6 chain to make available all of its corporate-owned locations to counties, effective immediately, with a master agreement template. Counties have the option to adopt the operating agreement for the locations.
- The 150-acre @SCCgov Fairgrounds is being made into a center where people who are homeless can be sheltered in trailers & on cots and safely socially distance. There is also #coronavirus testing by Verlly. More resources to come.
- Big turnout today as farm workers in @SCCgov get vaccinated in Gilroy. A great collaboration between @SCCgov @UFWupdates & @MontereyMushooms

- Last night on a 4 to 1 vote the @SCCgov Board of Supervisors approved advancing the planning process for Reid-Hillview Airport’s 180-acres after more than 150 residents testified in favor of repurposing Reid-Hillview Airport for affordable housing, recreation & education.
- Today @sliccardo , @CarlGuardino, @chriswilder & I put out a call for used ventilators. We estimate @SCCgov may need 1,000 more. There are now 435 ventilators & as of April 5 only 217 of them were in use. We will pay $1,000 for the used ventilators. Call 408-885-5299.
