    Some people have lots of money, I think you mean. That's not the case for everyone, so giving an appropriate tip (according to the service received) doesn't mean people are cheap.

    The girl spent $47. The 25% tip for that is like 15 bucks. She (the waitress)was expecting triple of that amount? That screams entitlement. Bigger tips than normal should be graceful accepted but not assumed.

    He could've tipped $0 too. Tips are a reward, not a salary. The restaurant owner is the one responsible for that.
