I sent this email to @bariweiss four years ago, when I was 19 years old. It was the best decision I've ever made. I have never been more proud or grateful to be part of @TheFP.
It's not just people in the dark corners of the internet justifying LePatner’s murder: it’s people like Thomas Gebremedhin, a high-ranking editor at @penguinrandom who reposted a story on Instagram which reads “Rest in piss."
Gen-Z New Yorkers I’ve spoken to at bars wearing $500 jeans, sipping G&Ts—enjoying all the fruits capitalism has to bear—simply do not comprehend what their vote for Mamdani means and what his leadership will do to the places average NYers depend on. Ultimate privilege.
Mohsen Mahdawi has been featured in New York Mag, 60 Minutes, NPR, CBS Morning and even penned an op-ed in The New York Times.
But somehow, these reports missed some rather crucial details. Read my latest for @TheFP:
Many were shocked to see university presidents fail to condemn calls for genocide.
I was not.
I left college early to work @TheFP bc I saw what was happening on campus—suppression of ideas, antisemitism, hypocrisy— so I decided to put my energy elsewhere.

Wesley LePatner is not a symbol. No one is. Wesley LePatner was the best of us, and we’re all poorer for losing her.

A protester yelled at Alex Karp that “Palantir kills Palestinians with their AI.” When Karp said Palestinians were dying because of Hamas, she shouted back that he was getting wealthy from the killing.
Karp, unblinking, responded: “Mostly terrorists, that’s true.”
My latest for @TheFP, in which @LHSummers asks why it's taken Harvard "half as long as it took America to win World War II," to release it's long overdue Antisemitism report.

One plaintiff who was taken hostage on October 7 said his captors “bragged about having Hamas operatives on American university campuses” and “showed him Al-Jazeera stories and photographs of protests at Columbia University” organized by the various defendants.
