Some can be free but usually will charge anywhere from 400 to 1000+ for 1 month experience.

I'm equally disappointed by programs that have IMG as part of their leadership and don't adequately support IMG trainees and IMG that make it to leadership positions and automatically forget where they come from. Assimilation doesn't help anyone but the oppressor.

"I really thought residency was going to be the hardest thing about my professional career but navigating immigration/visa issue has been my biggest stressor. I feel no matter what I do or how accomplished I am being a foreigner is a red flag across my face that I can't wash off"

More programs applied to but less interviews offered. The cost of each interview is high because of international flights and lodging.

"I used to get really upset when I got a question wrong while I was studying until I realized that is exactly the purpose of studying, figuring out what I don't know as well as I should. Honestly, a lot better to get it wrong in the study session than in the real thing"

Every rejection is the opportunity to not waste your time with a program that currently does not align with your needs and skills. Remember, all you need is one interview.
