    JUST IN | Harborview Medical Center now says Summer Taylor, who was one of the two protesters hit by a car early this morning on I-5 in Seattle, has died. Diaz Love, the other person who was hit, remains in serious condition in intensive care, per a hospital spokeswoman.

    I hope we get to a point someday when members of the LGBTQ community - like myself - don’t receive messages like this for mentioning their partner on television… just like my heterosexual colleagues sometimes do. Until then… I’ll keep carryin’ on. Do better, Eddie.

    I’ve been “out” for approx. 20 years now. Don’t regret it one bit. But I know there are so many who are afraid to take that step. To them I say - Do it only when you’re ready. There are a ton of people in the LGBTQ+ community ready to support you. #NationalComingOutDay

    UPDATE: The Washington State Patrol has identified the trooper hit & killed on I-5 SB in Marysville early this morning as 27yo Christopher M. Gadd. Gadd was on patrol searching for DUI drivers when he was hit and killed. Gadd leaves behind a wife and a 2-year-old daughter.
