It is phone call Wednesday. A pre-practice phone call to thank someone for impacting your life.

One of my former players stopped by today. His son was born with no elbow and basically half a normal arm and just 2 fingers. The kid LOVES baseball and works hard to overcome that obstacle. He is 11 now and inspired me. Quit with our excuses and just be better.

Dear college athletes- if you are not willing to wear a mask and social distance and stay from bars- your season will be the sacrifice. End of story.

Being a JUCO bandit is something you appreciate AFTER you are gone. But that brotherhood, NEVER goes away.

Can anyone ever imagine a college baseball player opt out of going to the World Series? Me either.

A $399 bat, $300 glove, $30 arm sleeve and a $60 undershirt wont help you if you have a $.50 work ethic.

Dear @DIRECTV - a year ago- you lost @ABC in our area and it has never cane back. Now today- you lost @espn . Time to end 15 years with you. You obviously only care about money and not customers.

When a coach says “optional”- it usually means it is your “option” to get better or worse. It also means- it is the coach’s “option” to play you or not.

While it is NOT always pretty, NOR is it ever easy, BUT being a JUCO kid puts you a leg up in competition AND in life. A JUCO kid knows what struggles and adversity is all about and have already dealt with it.

Unpopular opinion BUT why do baseball guys buy expensive sunglasses just to sit on their hat?

David Bote went D1 out of HS. Was cut after the Fall and tokd he would never be a D1 player. Came to Neosho for the spring and was drafted right after we went to the JUCO workd series. He makes his MLB debut tonight. #neverquit
