Ime Udoka may have saved the Celtics with a key question during a timeout after his team had committed some bad turnovers. According to a source, Udoka stepped into the huddle and said, "Will you guys stop playing like assholes?" Aaaaaand we have our coaching moment of the year.

Major change in the Al Horford situation: Per source close to Horford, his side is no longer discussing a new 3-year deal to stay with the Celtics. He is expected to sign a 4-year free agent contract elsewhere... Story to come.

Evidently the person running the chyron has been hitting the chardonnay this evening...

Informed this morning that I am among those in the latest round of layoffs by the @bostonherald... It is impossible here to express just how great an honor it's been to cover the Celtics and NBA and establish that bond with you. I am so deeply grateful you took the time to read.

After the Celtics lost Game 5, Tito Horford stopped me in the hallway and said, "I'll see you Sunday." I said, "You never know, with the way this team plays." "NO," he replied. "I said I'll SEE you Sunday." In related news, it's Sunday.

Well, this was rather embarrassing... Celtic guard Payton Pritchard stopped by security. Wouldn't let him into restricted area so he could sit with C's coaches. VP of communications Taylor Kielpinski-Rogers had to vouch for him. Pritchard burned the strings in this gym last year.

Source close to Horford says that even after all the Celtics' cap gymnastics, he will not be winding up back in Boston.

Warrior official pulled Brad Stevens aside in the back hallway last night to let him know it did not go unnoticed that he stood outside the Golden State dressing room and shook the hand of every Warrior player and coach after the Game 6 Finals clincher... In fact, it resonated.

Just watched Paul Pierce (ESPN) on the press room TV in Denver. He said no other player of Kyrie's caliber has ever said he was coming back to a team and then left, and he made the case he should be booed when/if he's back in the Garden next Wednesday. Pierce: "He deserves it."

The Celtics always saw @isaiahthomas as best fit for a 6th man role, but he wanted more -- and he played so well they had to start him. Now he'd be ready to provide instant offense and energy off the bench. The timing (and price) may be right for C's and IT to renew their vows.

If I'm the Celtics, I might want to find a way to get Tacko Fall onto the roster. In addition to trying to develop him. if he's active for a game and you're protecting a one-point lead in the final seconds, how nice would it be to have him defend the inbounds passer?

Brad Stevens: "Our No. 1 objective was to be a team that Boston liked."

Celtics' decision to go for the win in Game 82 on April 10 in Memphis -- getting the No. 2 seed, even if it meant playing Brooklyn in the first round -- is looking rather large right now.

Daniel Theis played 22 minutes for the Bulls last night and didn't get called for a single foul... Obviously the refs didn't recognize him in the new clothes.
