The @pamsson thread made me feel the same way. If you'd like to talk about baseball writing, Trent certainly has more to offer but I'd be happy to help as well. If you'd like to talk about fantasy sports, I can do that too.
This is something I’ve noticed, thought about and been bothered about — but haven’t DONE enough about. I have such privilege to have the place and voice I have. Please, please, please. If you are an aspiring baseball writer who is black, brown, Asian, LGBTQ or female, I am here

Just dropped this in the mail today. I don’t ever want to take for granted the opportunity to be a part of this process. #BBHOF

~$15 million: What the Mets paid David Wright for 584 games in 5+ seasons from 2004-2009 in which he hit .309/.389/.518 with 140 HR, 561 RBI, 119 SB and 552 R. Also included: 4 ASG appearances, 2 Gold Gloves, 2 Silver Sluggers & 3 top-10 MVP finishes.
$52,349,727: What David Wright has made in game checks since the last game he played (5/27/16). The Mets will recoup a little more than 70 percent of that cost through an injury insurance policy.

Just consistently applying the same criteria to every player. They're the ones who tested positive and/or got suspended for PED use.

I think it comes down to Utley being an elite 2B and being a better all-around player than Holliday, which is reflected in his 64.5 WAR vs. Holliday's 44.5. OF is really deep with Beltran, Andruw, Sheffield (outfielder in name only, I guess) and Abreu on the ballot.
