- 📢 We are excited to share a first look at our new project: Restate (@restatedev) 🔥 Building applications with 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗰/𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁. Scalable and resilient apps, µ-services, background jobs, workflows.
- Stateful Functions 2.0 is out. flink.apache.org/news/2020/04/0… It allows you to use @ApacheFlink as the base of a *stateful serverless* platform. Flink takes care of your state and messaging, while your application runs as a stateless #kubernetes deployment, or as FaaS functions.
- Today, we announced @dataArtisans Streaming Ledger: Serializable ACID transactions across multiple tables, keys, and streams, in pure stream processing. We are removing the long standing limitation that streaming applications can only operate consistently on one key at a time.

- There were some interesting news regarding the use of #ZooKeeper in various projects. @apachekafka is replacing ZooKeeper with an internal consensus implementation. @ApacheFlink makes use of ConfigMaps instead of ZK when running on #Kubernetes. A thread on the use of ZK:

- The end of a pretty crazy week. This here was an absolute highlight. When I started in this industry, I had never imagined that the name of a company I co-founded would make it to times square. Amazing and humbling at the same time.
