- And so it begins... our first sailing after Brexit, on Saturday 2nd Jan is SOLD OUT. The Stena Horizon will be jampacked with over 50 truck drivers with their loads & a boatload (literally) of freight; all destined for the shortest direct route to France. stenalinefreight.com/contact/
- Breaking news: in another Brexit-busting move our new vessel Stena Embla is NOT starting from Belfast as planned. She's being deployed on our Rosslare to Cherbourg route from tomorrow. It can add 3km of trucks & 175 comfy cabins - that's a lot of sleep-happy truckers. #brexitSome good news to start 2021: Stena Embla has arrived in Belfast. It is the third new vessel we've added to our Irish Sea fleet in the past year alone. For now she'll be concentrating on freight, but hopefully some of you can take a trip on her soon. #transport #travel #freight
00:00 - Update for Irish Sea freight customers: the Stena Foreteller is being moved into position to commence on the Rosslare to Cherbourg route. We will now have two ships departing tomorrow direct to France. Please contact our freight team for bookings. stenalinefreight.com/contact/
- Replying to @TheNotoriousMMAConor our people are key workers going 2 work 7 days a week, doing shifts covering 24 hours a day to ensure vital supply lines stay open. Keeping supermarkets stocked, hospitals supplied & parcels delivered. So why not focus on the positive & thank them for their hard work? Simon
- While it has been quiet in Holyhead so far today, the port authority indicate that six freight loads bound for Ireland have had to be turned away due to not have the correct references. Hauliers please ensure you have your PBNs ready for check-in. @WGEconTransport @TrafficWalesNAttention hauliers using Holyhead to export to ROI: from 1st Jan youâll need a valid Pre-Boarding Notification from the Irish Revenue to check in. Without it youâll not be allowed into the port & will be turned away. The link to check your PBN is now live revenue.ie/en/customs-traâŚ
- Replying to @TheNotoriousMMA and @LeoVaradkarMorning Conor, it is important to reiterate that we are asking people to adhere to govât restrictions and ONLY travel for ESSENTIAL REASONS and NOT leisure. Happy Easter. Best wishes, The Little Egg with a Ronnie.
