    What an amazing debut! I have no idea how he's still going given that he's so old, but I was brimming with pride listening to this on the drive to work this morning. Fantastic to hear dad back on radio some 70 or 80 years since he first started out. A triumph!

    So excited to share that tomorrow I’m starting a new job (and, in fact, a new career!) as a sports reporter alongside the friendly, dedicated and passionate team at Newbury Weekly News. I’m hoping to become the first Stelling to have a long and successful career in sports media!

    On a personal note, it has been my first full season covering Pools. I wish things had been better on and off the pitch, but as a fan it is an absolute honour to be able to cover this great club and meeting so many supporters has been a real highlight. Thank you.

    Alex Reid named on the Pools bench tonight but appears to be at home watching the stream on YouTube. Not the worst thing to have happened in that opening 45 minutes, but not a great look from the club.
