The above tweet is incorrect and misinterprets the data. The is caused by a well-known statistical phenomenon called Berkson's paradox. Dropping cases where black & white voters agree on policy means that overall public opinion becomes a confounding variable.

They're mad because they're misunderstanding the statement as universalism, which would actually be a massive reversal of Catholic theology

Wouldn’t work. The problem isn’t the material; even ones made if hardened steel will break easily. The problem is that the walls are very thin, because you just can’t fit enough metal in a 2 inch box for a 6 foot staff that won’t snap instantly.

They're conditioning on substantial disagreement between whites and blacks, which creates a negative correlation between black and white public opinion. Then, b/c there's more whites than blacks, the slope just reflects that more popular policies are more likely to pass.
